How I Spent My Sunday

Today I started painting the room that will someday be my daughter's. I decided to play with my new Flip some more. So here's a before shot of the room. Don't laugh too hard when I trip over the paint can. Yes.. I'm a dork. Oh and I realize I'm painting with a roller not a "brush".... but apparently I mixed up the words while filming. LOL! The video is a little shaky. It's not easy to hold that little sucker and roll on paint at the same time.

Here's a shot of the now apple green room. I managed to get 2 coats on and edge everything but the ceiling. I'll paint the trim, the baseboards, and the ceiling white. I know it's already white... but it needs to be brightened up. That room hasn't been painted in 10 yrs. I'll finish up another day though cuz I'm pooped!

The green looks different depending on the light. In bright sunshine it looks very limey. In the evening with incandescent light it looks darker. But I like it. I think with the fabrics and the other decor, it's gonna look awesome. Whadyathink?

That is one green room. I don't know how I feel about it just yet but I'm liking it better than I thought I would. For me I have to see the finish product (fabric, furniture & all). It's a weird trait I have. So which green did you go with?

Your voice is nothing like I imagined it to be. Not that I'm a 100% sure what I thought it would be like but you definitely don't have the OH accent my cousins have. Maybe that's what I was expecting.

I LOVE that green! I think it goes perfet with your home and your personality! I especially loved how it looked with that pretty white crib up against it.
We were supposed to paint Ev's room this past weekend too but I refused to do it in the heat so my hubby wisely rescheduled that little DIY. I have a soft pink picked out but now I am thinking "hummmm green?????"

Love the green-it' a happy color. I also love the crib. Can't wait to see the end result.

I too was surprised by your voice...I guess it sounds girlie and I thought you'd have a tough, gritty voice given your line of work and all :)

BTW, which flip did you get and what do you think?
