Decisions, Decisions

You wouldn't think finding paint the color of a green apple would be that difficult. And yet.....
It's somehow completely fitting that a margarita loving girl such as myself has chosen a color called "Spring Lime" and my personal favorite "Lim-o-licious". Now that's a fun word! Although... it's always been hard for me to resist "Temptation". LOL!

Contrary to this picture, they all do look very different in person. "Golden Pear" has way too much yellow undertone and was immediately eliminated as a choice. I'm undecided on the rest. I need to see them in different lights. And the bottom two aren't dry yet. That may make a difference as well. I'll live with them for another day or two and then figure it out. Hopefully.

For those curious as to why a girl who lives and breathes the color pink has chosen green for the walls.... here's the answer. This pic I swiped from HGTV's "Rate My Space" website is kinda the look I'm going for. I love the way the bright pink just pops up against that green wall.
And for those of you who just wrinkled up your nose and thought "OMG! That's way too bright." That's cool. Cuz this nursery won't be living in your house. It will be living in mine! ;)

And I'm not afraid of color. In fact, I crave it. You haven't forgotten what my living room looks like have you?

I've come to the sudden realization that you would hate my house. Really.

And, just so you know, I'm asking for your help in tomorrow's post. It involves one of us moving states, but whatever.

I love the green behind the pink..it really does make the pink pop out. It's going to look so pretty when it's all done..I can't wait to see it:)

Lime is my fav color right now, and that's what we painted Georgia's nursery... although the color we picked is much more like the HGTV color. What I can tell you about lime is that when the room is bright, it's blinding. I had to trade-down the original color I picked by 3 shades. At night, it looks really mellow, but during the day, it's very bright! If you want I'll look up the color name when I get home and shoot you an email... you might like it! :)

What fun! Mia's nursery is going to be such a fun place for her to hang out!!

My fave (but it's hard to tell from pics and your eye is much better in person) would be Spring Lime.

Happy decorating! With referral calls coming in for special friends, what better way to celebrate than preparing for Mia!

I actually thought that nursery was your nursery! It fits right into that whole pink & green thing you got going on over there!

Just had to tell you I LOVE the picture you showed from Rate My Space for your daughters room, you're right the pink looks awesome against that green. I'm getting ready to paint my girls rooms and will have to visit that site to find some inspiration. Oh... and I think I like the top middle paint swatch, but couldn't read the name.

I love it! Then again, my living room is pretty much that color too, so...I might be a bit biased! Yes, the WHOLE living room!

I think I told you this before, but I love, love, love your living room. In fact you might even say I am "green with envy" that I can't paint my own pink too. That was corny, I know. Sorry. Couldn't resist :)Can't wait to see the nursery pics!

It's all green to me so Mia MUST have a plush Kermit in that room :0) The room will be perfect for her when you've got it all poppin' with the pink.

I'm about to barf green waiting to see a picture of the sea starlet...amongst others!!

Have fun decorating. I'm not going down that road again until 2015 ;0)

Looking forward to seeing it done. I like your choices a lot. Can't help you with the greens though - that will have to be a personal choice.

You'll pick the right one.

I love the green with the pink!! I can't wait to see her room when it is finished!!

Paint colors are so deceptive...the only way to pick, is to do exactly what you did, so you can see how they look when they are dry and in the light!!

Have a great weekend!

BTW, I found a dress on ETSY that I want to buy for Sarah....I think you might like it.....pink and green!!! I will forward you the link:)

Oh, so that's how you pick the right color! Unlike me, who painted my kitchen 3 times before I finally got it the way I wanted it. And I HATE painting. Thanks - I'm a little swiser now.

I like the green and pink combo but the pink is a little too bright for me. I like tamer pink colors.

I guess taking as many art classes as I did in HS & college I can so see the difference in the colors. The Golden Pear and Lime-o-licious have way too much of a pea soup feel. Spring Lime is nice but I think I like the Temptation the best only because I think it will help make the bright pink pop the best. Granted this too is all based on a photo not in person.

LOVE IT ALL, Mia is such a lucky girl to have such a beautiful room. I just went back to see your other rooms and you are so talented. I also enjoy redecorating and designing. I just finished out kitchen with sage green and butter cream. Our girls room is lavender with lady bugs dragonflys and a beautiful quote on one wall. I am ready to start our master bedroom, I think. And then our 13 year old sons room. Oh boy the work I have. from a friend and Journey to Ms. Hannah's A Ye Debi
