Lounge Lizard

Okay so the weatherman was right about the snow. This time.
I took this pic about noon today and it continued to fall until about mid-afternoon. It's not the snow that's the problem but the fact that it's a wet, slushy snow. So it's freezing. The roads are very slick. My brother's girlfriend slid off the road this morning and hit a pole. But she's okay. The car... maybe not so much. But I heard she's still able to drive it. So that's good.

All activities were canceled today. Tatum's birthday party and girl's day out were re-scheduled for next weekend. So I have spent the day snowed in enjoying a blissful day of lounging. Did I use my time productively to clean, do laundry or any of the other many odd jobs that need to be done around the house? Hell no! I put on my most comfortable sweats and softest warmest fuzzy socks, pulled my hair up in a clip, and laid on my couch. I played on the computer a little bit, talked on the phone and watched a movie. I ate some yummy vegetable soup for lunch. Nothing better on a cold snowy day. (Don't go getting all excited. It was out of a can. Remember, I don't cook.)

I did motivate myself to go out and shovel snow for about a half an hour. So the day was not a complete slug fest. Now, I'm about to go watch another movie. That's right. TWO MOVIES in one day.
And no cleaning. I love when it snows on the weekends!

Tomorrow will most likely suck however. I have to fight my way into work in the morning. It's my Sunday rotation.
Yee freakin' haw. Hope you're enjoying your weekend.

Oh, my! That sounds like a perfect day to me right now. To have the weather give you a good excuse for just resting and relaxing... Very nice! That really doesn't happen around here. Your yard looks so pretty blanketed in all that snow.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend!

Happy 18. Sending up prayers for your friends - how very sad. I hope you enjoyed your snow day. We were finally able to turn off our a/c today - it's only 73 degrees here - brrr :)

we totally were out and about in snow. Nothing stops us I tell you. However, we did finally get home and start a nice fire and had some yummy foods and desserts while opening Christmas gifts with the grandkids. :0)

Sounds like you had a great stress reliever kind of day. Especially with that veggie soup. YUM

Brrr- I'm cold just looking at the picture. But I like the way you spend the day, except for the shoveling snow part...

Sounds like a perfect day in my book! I did my last shopping done this weekend. We finally got a cold front this weekend and our high today will be around 58 degrees. It is begining to feel a lot like Christmas!

Oh snap!

That looks very . . . . cold, but the couch, movies & soup sound like fun.

Wow, your cars really take a beating over there in snow country! Sounds like a very cool way to watch the world go by all cozied up in your sweats & all. Hope that the trek to work wasn't too hard yesterday.

Hope you're dug out by now...I think it's going to be a long winter for us Midwesterners!

Granted it can be a pain to drive in it, but I would rather just sit at home and enjoy watching it fall.

I'm so ready for a slug-fest and maybe, just maybe I'll be able to on Saturday. Not that I could expect snow in my neck of the woods. It would take a miracle and that's why I am so ready to move back to Indiana. I'm sure the majority of it will melt by next week though so my family won't have much of a White Christmas.

FOr some reason the title of this post is cracking me up. I imagine a lizard in a lounge suit just hanging out!

Glad you got to have a lazy day.

I'm guessing you don't need the "invisible fence" in Winter! Griffey wouldn't be able to walk in all that snow!
