More Gifties!

I opened the mailbox today to find this cool azz ball cap from my bloggy sistah, Colleen. She survived her China trip wearing one quite a bit. Anyone who knows me, understands how I feel about these wonderful inventions. On most weekends, you'll probably find me sporting one of these bad boys. Oh how I hate to do my hair! Really. I know that surprises you, I-Con. She knows me in real life you see.... and endlessly teases me about how overweight my luggage will be on the way to China when it's loaded down with all my hair care products and appliances. I admit, it's a bit high maintenance. Which is why I love a good ball cap! Every girl needs a break from the hair. I love it Colleen! It actually made me cry when I opened it. Not because of your amazing generosity. But because when I looked at it I realized how literal the translation is. And right now I'm not feeling like I'm surviving China. I'm feeling like a truck has run over me. Which is a post for another day....maybe. So this was a nice reminder that I am a survivor. I've made it through some rough times before. I can make it through this. I'm just struggling a little right now. So thanks for helping me put things into a little bit of perspective today, girl! I really miss you.

I also got a Secret Pal gift in the mail. Socks for me and socks for my Mia. A couple new Jibbitz for my Crocs...a penguin and a ladybug. A ladybug wall hook. A tee shirt that says "Year of the Pig". Some luggage tags with our June Bugs DTC logo and a couple of cards written in Chinese that probably explain that I'm adopting a baby. I'm assuming ...since one is marked "girl" and one is marked "boy" on the back. Very cool! I'm really looking forward to finding out who you are next month, SP. I've got a couple of guesses but I honestly have no idea. I can't believe we've been doing this for 18 months! Thanks again SP!

I love the gifties. I have been trying to find a cap for myself. Always wearing the hubs and I want one that is mine and is not manly. You are right that "Survivor:China" does take on a different meaning.

This is a hard time. Sucks beyond sucks. Hang in. We gotta. I am here if you need to bitch/vent/share a virtual margarita with.

Keep smilin!
