This Really Sucks

This pretty much sums up how I feel today about the lack of progress from the CCAA. Referrals are on the way. They've matched everyone through Sept 8, 2005. Last month's batch went through August 25th. So they only got through 2 more weeks worth of LID's. People are beginning to wonder why for the last six months my answer to "So when do you get your baby?" has not changed from "Oh.. in about a year." My answer should be "Who the hell knows?!" I'm usually okay with the wait. I just really want my girl home before Christmas next year. I'm trying to continue to be optimistic that it'll happen but it's getting harder with every month that the CCAA sends out these small batches.

PS. Congratulations to all of the families getting their referrals. I really am excited for you. The thought of this wait dragging on and on just really sucks today. I'm going back to my happy place now.

So where is the happy place? This just stinks. We need a new boat or at least a new captain!

I'm soooo not happy right now. The last announcement just sucks.

I need directions to your happy place, too. Can you post them on Mapquest?

My happy tent blew down. So..I just packed it up for a while and am going on other adventures.

The word is out to please STOP asking 'when' because (doy) I'll certainly be talking when it happens. Believe me, EVERYONE of my nursing home roomates will know when I get that referral.

At least I can waste a lot more time getting quilt squares and put it together at a stitch a day.

Grr....okay. Done! Back to 'comfort' in reality.

I just want to scream sometimes...How can EVERYTHING be so far off of what we were originally told...

I also think that when we get our referral we will be shouting it from the rooftops, people really won't have to ask...

Right there with you, sister. Everytime I hear that question and then see the "Awww, really?" face I just want to smack the person really hard.

Christmas 2007 - that's our month (keep your fingers crossed)!
