Tatum's Ballet Recital

A couple hours of dress rehearsal in the morning and then several more hours of the actual recital in the evening is just too much when you have 4 other kids to attend to. So my sister usually asks my mom or me to take Tatum for the morning session.
I managed to get her all dressed. Then it was a lot of standing around waiting for her turn to perform. A LOT of standing around actually. I thought this pic was cute. Whatever I said cracked her up right as I snapped it.
These two were engrossed in a very serious conversation backstage. Probably about Hannah-M0ntana or pink sparkly lip gloss. Or some other very important topic for 7 yr olds.
Much to the teacher's dismay, every little girl was doing something different on stage. Which is pretty much how the whole performance ended up. LOL!
Along with losing her two front teeth, Tatum also added a tumbling/acrobat class this year. So she had a quick costume alteration and then went back on stage.
Tatum is on the right.
She worked up an appetite with all that dancing, twirling, cartwheeling, somersaulting and tumbling. So I treated her to lunch. Oh and a shake, of course. :)

Tatum looks like a doll!
You make the greatest Aunt- you seem to know just what to do to make your nieces and nephews feel special. Just think what all of this practice will mean for Mia!
