And Then They Danced...

Somewhere deep in my heart I must be a hopeless romantic....
cuz I loved this beautiful moment.

I was awake at 230am... and apparently the service was on tv at 3am! My workmates thought I got up especially to watch it!! Nope. Just couldn't sleep... couldn't stop thinking about China. Sorry Mr O.

I LOVE this song. One of my favorites and how perfect was it for a first dance?

K, I'm SOOOO not trying to be a buzz kill here, but...

...they should have taken dance lessons before parading it all over every television in the free world.

Romantic? Totally. Skilled? Um....

(don't throw tomatoes at me, but somebody had to say it! lol)

BTW, meant to say that Beyonce looks AMAZING when she's not lathered up in makeup, jewelry, costume, and all that jazz. I don't think I've ever seen her look more beautiful, ever!

Special K, go ahead, never speak to me again but I agree with Headmeister (I knew I liked her).

Love the song. It's one of my favorites and Beyonce did a fab job singing it. Yes they needed to take dance lessons before they did that on stage. It was painful watching them because they looked like they were in pain and very uncomfortable.

My other complaint about the day was Michelle's clothes. What was she thinking!!! That gold number for inauguration looked like it should've been worn by the Queen of England. It was too matronly for her. Secondly, although I did think her dress for the evening was beautiful, it hung on her like a flap of dead skin. It was just not flattering on her.

Liene & H-meister ...talk about sucking the joy out of a moment. LOL! And Lumpy (my sometimes annoying little brother), this goes for you too!

It's not about the skill level. You totally missed the point. It's about the simplicity of a man and a woman who clearly love each other and being able to witness that intimate moment. It was amazingly romantic.... whether they were the Prez and First Lady or just an average working class everyday couple. It was beautiful.

I didn't do so hot on my wedding day either when I danced my first dance... oh wait, I m divorced. Bad example.

Okay, both of YOU probably weren't winning any Dancing with the Stars trophies either during your first dance with your hubbies. But I'm sure the love felt and experienced in that moment was beautiful for your guests to be a part of and they were grateful for it. At least, I woulda been. I mean, had you invited me to your weddings. LOL!
