Those of you who know PIPO are aware that she's a low key kind of girl. So it took some convincing but she finally agreed to allow a small group of local girls to meet her at the airport to welcome her home. As long as there was no big pomp and circumstance (good thing we decided against that marching band idea) and we all had to pinkie swear that we'd say our hellos, give hugs, hold up our signs and then leave her the hell alone. LOL! Unfortunately, because of the hour of her arrival, it turned out only Robin and I could make it. But Sandra and Stacy were there in spirit. Her hour of arrival turned out to be even later than we thought. Once we got to the airport we saw on the board that her freakin' flight had been cancelled!! Even though both Robin and I had checked before leaving for the airport and it said all was okay. In fact, I checked while enroute there cuz my mom has one of those fancy schmancy internet phones. But that apparently doesn't mean anything cuz the flight was scrubbed for mechanical issues and was now arriving 2 hours later. We decided since we'd made the trip we might as well wait. So we headed out to dinner to kill the time.Maddy was a trooper! That kid hung with us all night. She's so easy going and laid back. She entertained us in the car with her version of "Wheels on the Bus" and "Jesus loves me... soap". I said it was Maddy's own interpretation. LOL! Anyway, my point is that this little girl is a dream! She rolls with the punches and goes with the flow even at such a late hour. She has the best personality. So polite, well behaved and smart as a whip. CCAA... can you send me one just like her, please? I'm just saying...
So after we grabbed a bite to eat, we headed back to the airport, signs at the ready, waiting for the arrival. Finally, we caught a glimpse of them staggering up the walkway on hour 30 of their travel day.The poor gang was a little worse for wear but very happy to finally be home. PIPO gave me some advice and told me that no matter what anybody else tells me.... the travel part is HELL. Duly noted, girlfriend. I believe ya. LOL!But look at that face. She makes it all worth it. And even after 30 hours of hell, being puked on, snotted on and smelling a little rank (sorry C.. we still love ya though. LOL!) PIPO had that "new mommy I'm-in-love" glow. That was beautiful to see. Dreams really do come true... if we just wait long enough. :)PIPA gave me a big cheesy grin when she saw that camera. She's a supermodel for sure. Here's a few more pics. The whole reason why everybody is reading today, right? Just to see that gorgeous girl. I don't blame ya. She's even more scrumptious in real life.Welcome home to the little chicken wing and her very happy mama! I can't wait to visit and hear all about your trip once you get all settled in. Is tomorrow too soon? Just kidding!Take it easy, relax, get rested and enjoy these first few days with each other at home. Call if you need anything. I love you both.... Auntie K.

The flights are certainly HELL, but the jet-lag once u get home is even worse! The only difference between the 2 is that u can shower at home with the jet-lag =)
You guys look like the best welcoming posse ever - especially Maddy. She is definitely a keeper!
Lucky for you to be part of the welcoming team for PIPA!!! She certainly is beautiful :o)
K what a great friend and person you are. And that Maddy I know she is just an angel. I see her everyday, she is on our entertainment center. She is our inspiration that this will all end with our Franceska in our arms. And as for PIPA she is a doll, that smile melts my heart. Welcome home PIPO and PIPA!!
Love , Kristy
What a wonderful treat that you were able to welcome Pipa and her little Chicken Wing!! Mamma looks sooooo happy even after her long travels. CW is adorable!!!
Welcome home PIPA...welcome home!!
That is too cool! I hope to be able to do that when some of my CA friends come home too. Hopefully sooner than later!
OOOHHHH MYYYY GOODNESSSSS! I am bawling! I just love that they are home, and love even more that sweet little tooth smile! What a ham. How wonderful that must have been for you to see and for her to see you. Yep...the travel part is PURE HELL! There was nothing at all good about it...(other than getting H home of course). But...it is SO worth it. You'll see my friend!
What a GREAT post!! Thanks so much for sharing the welcome home with the rest of us out in bloggerworld!!!
One of the most waited for babies forsure!! What a little blessing!!!
Yay!!!! They are home and they look wonderful! I am going to jump on the travel part is Pure Hell bandwagon. It sucks. And I can totally sympathize with the getting puked on part.
Thanks so much for posting all these great photos!!!
OMGosh, thanks you guys for sharing this with us!! Welcome HOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Aww, she is a cutie. Glad you had a little welcome posse there to greet them both. Looks like the little Pipa is settling in fine.
Welcome home!
Awwwwwwww, how cool that you were able to meet them at the airport! I can't believe the smiles on Pipa after such a long flight....I DO
know why her Mama is smiling....The flight is OVER...and not to mention she is holding the cutest little chicken wing evah! Man, I'm already sweating that flight home.
You really got some GREAT pics! I'm telling you, I didn't get very many with little "c" looking at the camera. It was hard to snap and keep track of maddy too. (no excuse though - I suck as a photographer) Your post was amazing and really said it all!
Hey wait a minute! I was there in spirit to! Thanks for keeping me updated with the texts though. I was thinking about you all and thought you all are the best of the best to meet, greet and get the hell out of dodge! I'd take me a Maddy any day of the week. She's just so sweet.
SO SO SO happy to see them home! And I'm totally reminded that the travel just might kill me.
So happy they got back safe and sound...thanks for all the great photos!
I love that cheesy grin:)
I agree with alison...the plane ride is wicked but nothin' will kick your ass like jetlag...sorry sista!
HOORAY!!! THEY'RE HOME!!!!
I was pretty sure, you'd be greeting our PIP's at the airport!!! Heck, I would'a been there if I didn't live so darn far away!!!
I agree... travelling sucks. And here we are about to board another plane on Monday, for Bali?! Yeah, we're crackers!!!
Thanks so much for being there to greet my goatiferous smelling posse. I swear, I think my brain was totally fried to smithereens at that point. I appreciate you hanging to say 'hello'
Jesus, I loves ME some soap too...that can be the second verse to Maddy's song sung by me.
The Wing is off to the doc in the morning. She's having a rough start of it all. Up every two hours last night hacking up a tiny lung. We are a bit better now but I'm still glad it is doc day in a few hours.
Oh, did I happen to mention the travel to and from China is HELL???? ;0) I've had one day of lag and think by tomorrow or Saturday at latest I'll be back in my groove. I think that is one blessing of my job. But, being sequestered in a little chair in a flying tin can is NOT in this chick's job description.
Thanks again, sorry I was a lump last night. I do appreciate you all sticking it out!
Lucky gals you are to be the first to welcome those two cuties home!
Thank you so much for posting the homecoming! Great pictures :)
How fun..
Love the photos.
Pipa is tooo cute..
Have a great weekend..
Holy Cripees Batman! That's one cute kiddo. I can't believe you all waited so long for them to get home- how cool was that.
This is one of the best Welcome Home posts I've read. If we meet in China, you can definitely blog about it - minus the smell commentary. Hee hee.
So wish I could have been there with all of you. It would have been a blogger good time for sure.
Thanks so much for sharing PIPO & PIPA's return home. She is too cute and I'm sure she's only going to get cuter.
what a great welcome home crew!! i'm SO behind on blogs (like a whole WEEK)- gotta get over to see Connie and Claire!
