March '08 - Done

March seemed to drag for some reason. Maybe it was because it followed the shorter month of February. Whatever the case may be, it's now behind me. I've noticed I'm becoming a bad blogger lately. Only posting a couple times a week. Just not feeling it so much right now. I'll try to get back in the swing of it soon.

My "Get Your Ass In Gear" Plan is still progressing nicely. Although I wasn't nearly as productive in March as I was the 2 months before. I did manage to get one household project completed. New living room curtains. But my mom deserves most of the credit actually. She sewed them. But I picked out the fabric AND decided on the concept. Oh ...and I hot glued the beading on. But yeah... mom did the hardest part. LOL!
The beading matches the lampshades. In hindsight, I wish we'd have put a strip of solid color fabric underneath it. From afar, the beading just kinda blends in with the pattern. But I think they turned out great nonetheless. I love these fabrics! The stripe is what I also covered my dining room chairs in. Now I'm all coordinated. Fancy schmancy...
In a couple of weeks, the living room is scheduled to be completely re-painted. I can't wait! The curtains will make much more sense then. They look strange against that ivy stencil on the wall. The country cottage look doesn't work anymore.
On the dieting front, I've had a couple backslides this month. Gain, lose, gain, lose has been a pattern for me. But in spite of that, I'm now down 23 lbs since I started on January 1st. So I've achieved my first goal!! Which was to lose at least 20 lbs every three months in 2008. If I can keep up that pace, I'll get to where I want to be by the end of the year. Hasn't been easy...but I just keep chugging along.

So March '08 saw some success on the "GYAIG" plan. Let's see how I do in April.
