3 Word Sunday

That about sums it up. One of the many projects this year was painting the living and dining rooms. They haven't been painted in 11 years and really need freshened up.

Since some patch work was needed and the ceilings had to be done along with all the trim, I decided to pay someone else to do it. These rooms are big and the task was just too overwhelming for me. Best decision I've made in awhile.

The painter is actually a homicide detective that I work with. He paints as a side job. I decided I might be getting a little jaded about my job when he called yesterday morning to tell me he'd be a little late because he got called out on a dead woman found in a trash can. And my first response was "So how long do you think that'll take?"

Trust me, I recognize the tragedy in that. It just took a second for it to catch up. One of the side effects of police work.

Stay tuned for pics of the finished project....

I'm an occasional lurker. I think I read that you are in Dayton...I paint, too! Was the dead woman the 18 year old girl that was missing? I heard about that.
Check out my blog and the foster kittens I have! They're pretty cute.

Wow! You are a very busy girl! Can't wait to see the finished product.

I am sure that with everything you see and hear each day in your job - you have to become a little desensitized. I think you have to in order to do your job well. It is a tough job!

I suspect (heh) that pink might be involved.

I spit my diet coke out. Thanks for that. Needed a good laugh.

Hope the painting goes well :O) You know, after that body is taken care of and everything.

I'm guessing there is pink involved....just a wild guess.

So are the pics of the homicide or the walls? You know my sick sense of curiosity.

Hahahaha! You are as bad as I am. I was on a CPR call and while I was doing ventilations I was wondering how long it would be until I got my referral...

Ok... tragic but I am trying to not laugh at the comment about the dead lady in the trash can and you saying "How long will it take?"... truly... it is tragic but hey... I have to admit I had a chuckle over it.. part of the territory I guess... hehe

I am living in a painting HELL. I can't seem to get it together to finish painting! I only wish I would have hired out.

Too funny that your first response to the late painter was how long!
